Civil War era Staff Officer’s Bullion Hat Insignia SOLD

Civil War era Staff Officer’s Bullion Hat Insignia.  A fine example in fine condition with minor flaws.  Note the extra gilt bullion wire to the left of the “S,” a flaw in the manufacturing process.  It has been this was from it’s making, but one could remove these if so desired.  Interesting as it is.    Complete with the mounting loops and covered in the back with brown cotton. Nice high relief on the wreath. 3 inches wide. Just a light toning to the bullion, a very nice example.
