Mean Well RT65B Screws Terminal Cover! We all know how popular the RT65b Meanwell PSU is in the world of DIY eurorack cases. Everyone who ever worked with this PSU knows that unfortunately, it has all the screw terminals exposed. Leaving the screw terminal connector uncovered creates several risks. Firstly, it can lead to unintentional short circuits. Secondly, you are risking damaging the expensive modules if they come in contact with high voltage AC connectors. Thirdly, and most importantly, contact with high voltage AC can cause personal injury. Therefore we decided to come with a solution to this problem! We have designed and manufactured a terminal cover that fits the RT65B Meanwell PSU perfectly! RT65B Screws Terminal Cover Details Our Mean Well RT65B Screws Terminal Cover is super small. It doesn’t take any additional space in your eurorack case. The entire screw terminal cover fits within the contour of the PSU housing. Most importantly, the cover is small enough that it doesn’t cover terminal descriptions. Therefore you will clearly see which wires conduct AC or DC voltages. Installation is super easy. It doesn’t require any drilling or gluing. All you need to do is to remove one screw from the PSU, slide the screw terminal cover in place and secure it in place with the replacement screw that we supply. We build our Mean Well RT65B Screws Terminal Cover from bright orange plastic. Therefore visually you won’t miss the fact that you put your fingers or modules close to the power supply. The main purpose of the screw terminal cover is to not allow contact with the connectors. However, it doesn’t mean you can be careless with the installation! Remember that you work with high AC voltage! All connections must be made in accordance with the standards for proper insulation of electrical devices. If you are unfamiliar with the subject, hire a specialist to do it for you. ATTENTION! Assembly and connection of any parts leading mains voltage (e.g. mains inlet, power supply board, cables) are allowed only by qualified personnel who are familiar with the applicable safety regulations! For a layman, it is strictly forbidden to carry out such assemblies or connections! All parts that lead mains voltage (wires, PCB tracks, electronic parts) have to be fully isolated against damage to the device before the unit is powered so that accidental contact with these parts is not possible! Otherwise, there is a danger to life!
