Vintage Opal Drop Earrings

Some opals can be very nondescript…these are definitely not. They have fabulous blue and green play of colour like the ocean over a coral reef and there is red coming in too from the side. Opals are notoriously difficult to photograph, the photos on the white background do nothing to justify their colour. The large opals are set in lovely crown settings and suspended on knife blade wires. These were originally screw back fittings which we have replaced with 9ct gold posts. Made in 1975, they’re vintage but utterly classic. Absolutely love these.
